Where to Stay in Bologna: Our Apartments near the Historic Centre
Bologna is a city to explore on foot, under its porticoes, so it pays to stay inside or just outside the walls of the historic centre. We directly manage three apartments in Bologna, all in the south-east of the city, between Porta Maggiore, Porta Castiglione and the Sant'Orsola Hospital: authentic neighbourhoods, quiet in the evening and a few minutes from the Two Towers and Piazza Maggiore.

- Residenza Alte Mura – in the historic centre, on the Mura di Porta Castiglione. 2 double bedrooms with exposed beams, sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, up to 6 guests. A quiet area, reachable by car and a few minutes' walk from sights, restaurants and supermarkets.
- Casa dei Colori Bolognesi – on Via Fondazza, one of Bologna's most beautiful historic streets, steps from Porta Maggiore and very close to Sant'Orsola. 2 bedrooms, up to 6 guests.
- Corde & Colori – renovated apartment on the sixth floor with lift, in a quiet residential neighbourhood at the edge of the centre, near Sant'Orsola. 2 bedrooms, up to 4 guests, unreserved parking in the building's courtyard.
Which area to choose in Bologna
- Historic centre (inside the walls): for a weekend and for those who want everything on foot: Piazza Maggiore, the Two Towers, the Quadrilatero, traditional osterie.
- Porta Maggiore and Via Fondazza: a neighbourhood feel, porticoes, small shops and restaurants, a few minutes from the centre.
- Sant'Orsola area: convenient if you need to go to the hospital, for appointments, work or to support a family member.
Driving and the ZTL in Bologna
Bologna's centre also has a camera-controlled limited traffic zone (ZTL). Before you arrive we'll give you directions to reach your home and park without risking a fine. If you're coming by car, Corde & Colori has parking in the building's courtyard.
